Capital & Endowment Giving

Capital and Endowment Giving support help realize our aspirations as a School and provide sustainability for our mission-driven work.

Capital Giving

Our last capital campaign, Building Friends, begun in November 2011, was a $7.75 million campaign to expand and enhance the spaces for teaching and learning at Carolina Friends.

Endowment Giving

Endowments are fundamental to achieving the mission of Carolina Friends School today, tomorrow, and for decades to come.

An endowment is a gift that is donated for the ongoing, annual support of CFS. The principal of the gift is invested and kept intact and a percentage of the fund’s value is expended for the endowment’s purpose every year. This allows for the donation to have an impact over a much longer period than if it were spent all at once.

There are currently 27 endowment funds totaling more than $12,966,171. For more information on endowments at CFS, contact Jan Zink.
