Art of Resilience and Renewal

A RETREAT SERIES FOR SEASONED EDUCATORS

R & R Redefined: From Rest and Relaxation to Resilience and Renewal

Monday 6 November 2023

Wondering how to make it through another year of life and school (especially after the challenges of COVID)? Wondering how you might generate possibilities for what’s next? No need to wonder alone!

Each 2023-2024 retreat (we hope to offer one in Spring as well) will be a powerful day of connection, rejuvenation, and joy, led by two long-time educational leaders with a heart for supporting teachers.

We'll gladly welcome educators (including administrators and staff) from independent, charter, and traditional public schools who’ve been in the trenches for a number of years and feel called to the experience.

Join us in creating a space animated by our individual and shared experiences, by what we know from research and can learn from reflection, and by opportunities for conversation, writing, play, and other creative engagement deliberately framed to remind us of what’s possible, what we’re each and all in fact capable of, and how we might access—and even share—it again.

Intrigued? If so, we’d love to see you be part of this immersive experience for reconnecting with the whole self!

  • 8:30 am - 9:00 am | arrival and buffet breakfast
  • 9:00 am - 4:00 pm | program (including buffet lunch)

You can register now, or indicate your interest through this brief Google form so we can stay in touch as retreat details are finalized.

Our Location

Hosted by Carolina Friends School, we’ll gather in the simple tranquility of the New Hope Camp and Conference Center in Chapel Hill. We’ll also take advantage of outdoor spaces on this wooded campus.
