Instructor: Alejandro Moreiras has been in love with CFS since first setting foot on campus in 2010. After finishing a master’s degree in religion at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, he began teaching in the Middle School as a social studies teacher, hosting classes like E Pluribus Unum, Model UN, Religious Graphics, Fake News, Arabic, Hebrew, and Spanish.
He took a hiatus from CFS to study toward a Ph.D. and teach religion at UNC Chapel Hill (although he passed his exams, he is starting to believe that finishing his dissertation on the intersection of religion and politics in the 1960s USA may well require divine intervention).
Throughout his (short) career circling the ivory tower, he missed CFS and its thriving community — its students and the families that support them, its staff, and its beautiful woods. Long story short, Alejandro is over the moon that CFS welcomed him back in 2019 as an American history teacher and advisor in the Middle School.
