Originally designed to showcase the amazing talents of our alumni community, this reimagined festival has grown to incorporate current students and staff while celebrating the enormous artistic contributions of our varied alumni base.

Community Festival – Saturday, April 27, 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Durham Central Park

Family fun, food, vendors, and live music from all CFS units, staff, and alumni. Musicians include* Sylvania with Dave Henderson ’05 and Matthew Rubin ’06, Tim Wells ’88, Dmitri Resnik ’84 and Bootleg Beat, and CFS staff and students. There will also be activities for children and families, listed below!

Parking

FREE Parking is located in the Farmer’s Market lot on Morris Street (between Corporation Street and Hunt Street).

Street parking is free on Saturdays, but may be limited.

In addition, there are pay parking decks on Roney Street. between Morris Street. and Hunt Street. and on West Morgan Street. between Morris Street and Foster Street.

Performing Arts Center Opening Celebration – Sunday, April 28, 9:30 am – 12:00 pm, CFS Main Campus

Dance and live music from all CFS units and alumni. An exhibit of visual arts will be held in the PAC lobby.

Performers include Katharine Whalen ’83, Jim Henderson (CFS teacher and administrator from 1982-2013), Linda Belans (CFS dance/theater teacher 1978-84), Michael Rank ’83, and Middle and Upper School students.

Visual artists include Dmitri Resnik ’84, Becky Clodfelter ’84, Ida Trisolini (current staff, parent, and alumni parent), and CFS students
