The North Carolina Art Education Association (NCAEA), the state's largest advocacy group dedicated to supporting visual arts education, recently held a conference for arts educators in Winston Salem. CFS staff Amelia Shull (Upper School) and Natasha Shannon (Lower School) attended the multi-day event, which included studio workshops in media such as metals and fiber, as well as sessions around issues such as art, literacy, and technology. Also at the conference were CSF alumni Kendal Draper '07 and Banks Clark '06! Kendal is Arts Education Director at Sertoma Arts Center and Banks is Art Teacher at Trinity School of Durham and Chapel Hill.
