Two exciting professional development opportunities for Middle School staff
Tommy Johnson has been selected to participate in a program in Ecuador sponsored by the NC Museum of Science and Heifer International. Tommy will be studying the eco-systems and culture of Ecuador. Acceptance to the program is highly competitive and we are very pleased about the opportunity Tommy has to join a small group of educators on this trek to Ecuador.
Renee Prillaman has been awarded a Professional and Community Enrichment Grant from CFS to study and do service work for three weeks in New Zealand next winter. Renee will be working with a colleague, Billy O’Steen, at Canterbury University and with a Quaker settlement on the North Island which has been instrumental in restorative justice for the Maori people.
