| CELEBRATION OF THE LIFE AND DREAM OF DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. |
 |
 |
Local actor and playwright Mike Wiley discusses his play “Dar He: The Lynching of Emmett Till.” His riveting performance was part of the weeklong events celebrating the life and legacy of Martin Luther King. It was an especially empowering experience for the students - who appreciated this powerful way to learn about history. People were also grateful for Mike’s eager participation in the question-and-answer session. They valued his openness and careful response to each question. One student said, "He knew just the right amount of things to say.” We are already talking about how to get Mike back on campus during the day so that 7th graders and up can see the show. Stay tuned....
