| Themes are a primary way through which we tie together different curricular areas |
| Each year, staff choose a broad them for study by the entire Lower School. Themes alternate yearly between a science and a social studies emphasis, however staff also seek themes that will lend themselves to integration throughout the curriculum and that appeal to the spectrum of ages we serve. Below is an example of this brainstorming process on the theme of flight. |
