AfterHours Program - Lower School

Offering care for your daughter/son from 3:00 to 5:45 PM daily*

Provides your child with:

• a safe, relaxed, and enjoyable experience.
• guidance in developing social skills for harmonious interaction with peers.
• a nutritious snack, emphasizing fruits and natural foods.
• choices of free play or a variety of activities, including arts, crafts, cooking, games and sports.

The LS AfterHours is staffed by Susan Wells. Call her with questions, concerns or schedule changes - voice mail at CFS 383-6602 (Ext. 246). No surprises please! Please keep us informed of changes with your use of AfterHours: added/fewer hours, absences, different pick-up time/person . . . .

Drop-in participants are accepted on a space available basis, if your child has been registered for AfterHours and if you notify us in advance. The best way to make last-minute arrangements is to leave a message for us on voice mail at CFS (ext. 246).

The LS's end-of-day pick-up time is 3:00 to 3:15 PM. If you are late picking up your child, s/he will be escorted to the AfterHours program and will receive the services it provides. You will be billed the regular fees for each afternoon you are late, depending upon your arrival time. If you are not already registered in AfterHours, the one-time fee of $10 will also be charged.

Picking Up Your Child from AfterHours:

• Please pick up your AfterHours child on time. When you do not pick up your child by 4:00 PM you will be charged at the 5:45 PM rate. When you do not pick up your child by 5:45 PM, you will be charged as follows: 5:45 to 5:50 PM = free of charge. From 5:50 PM on, you will be charged $2.00 for each succeeding five minutes or portion thereof. Repeat late arrivers may be charged extra and/or may be denied continued participation.
• Always check in with us when you pick up your child. This ensures your child's safety and the accuracy of your billing records.
• If someone other than a parent will pick up your child, you must inform us of the arrangement beforehand.
• If you change your pick-up time, (e.g., you have registered for 5:45 PM but pick up by 4 PM), be sure to inform us so we can keep accurate records.

The AfterHours Fees:

A one-time registration fee of $10 per child enables you to participate in the AfterHours program for whichever days and hours you decide.

AfterHours fees are $5.00 for each afternoon when you pick up your child after 3:15 and by 4:00 PM and $10.00 for each afternoon when you pick up your child after 4:05 and by 5:45 PM. After 5:50 the additional late fee is charged.

Your AfterHours Payments:

You will be billed monthly. We will keep track of daily hours and report them to Susan Wells, AfterHours Coordinator. He oversees the monthly billings. Ask Tim if you have questions about your AfterHours bill.

Please pay promptly after receiving your AfterHours bill.

Make your AfterHours checks payable to CFS Lower School AfterHours and mail or deliver them to Susan at the School. Please do not mix your AfterHours payments with CFS tuition or other payments. Also, writing your child's full name at the lower left of the check is very helpful.
