In fact, grandparents were at the heart of starting CFS. It was a grandparent who secured a $6,000 gift to open the first CFS class back in 1964.
Since then, grandparents have continued to be central to the CFS family. Since those first days grandparents have volunteered in the classrooms, been on the CFS Board, taught courses, come to Grandparents Day, attended plays or concerts, and made generous gifts to support the school.
One of the most delightful days of the year for students, teachers, and grandparents is our annual Grandparents Day. It is held every spring and draws grandparents from far and wide. To see photos and read about this year's celebration, go here.....
Another special day at CFS is graduation. A CFS Graduation is unique. At the core, it is a
Quaker Meeting for Worship during which anyone who feels led to speak
into the silence may address those in attendance.
