CFS in the Big Apple!

Friday April 11, 2014 Rockefeller Center

img_9871-1 Henry Walker img_3684-1_pp

Carolina Friends School's longest-serving staff member, Middle School teacher Henry Walker, Principal Mike Hanas, and Director of Advancement (and former College Counselor) Anthony L. Clay hope to see you in the Big Apple on Friday April 11.

We're inviting our alumni, former staff, current and former CFS parents and grandparents, former trustees, and all other friends of the School who live in New York and also Connecticut, Delaware, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Vermont to join us. We know some of you are at great distance from New York City, but we're casting a wide net because we've been amazed at the lengths community members will go to be part of a CFS event. If we have outdated location and contact info for you, we welcome an update!

On the 11th, we want to catch up with you and catch you up on what’s happening at CFS, including: the ongoing Middle School expansion; the green Lower School addition coming this next year; and some exciting Upper School opportunities we hope to have ready this fall (thanks to the Building Friends Campaign).

We’ll gather (thanks to the suggestion of a '74 alum) at Pulse Restaurant, located in Rockefeller Center, 45 Rockefeller Plaza 3rd Floor (International Building, entry off Plaza). 212.218.8666, http://pulse-restaurant.com

We’ll begin at 5:30 pm with drinks, appetizers, and socializing. We’ll move to dinner and the "program"—a short video (which includes co-founders Martha and Peter Klopfer and longtime staff members John McGovern and Terry Pendergrast) and remarks—between 6:30 and 7 pm, so please feel free to arrive as your schedule allows.

You are welcome to bring a spouse, partner, significant other, or other guest—also our treat.

Thanks for your prompt RSVP to aclay@cfsnc.org (919.383.6602 x268), but if plans change and you can unexpectedly attend at the last minute, please come!

We're posting details at www.cfsnc.org, on our CarolinaFriends Twitter feed, and on our QuakerDome Facebook site. Please help us spread the word to others in the area so we don't overlook anyone.

Thanks, and we look forward to seeing you Friday April 11, 2014!
