The depth of our educational experience and the mission-oriented outreach of our School could not happen without the input, time, and experience of volunteers from our greater community.

There are many ways to get involved in the life of the School, for current and alumni families, graduates and alumni, and friends.

Parent-Staff Association

Our Parent-Staff Association (PSA) offers current families a chance to join with other School parents for both year-long committee work as well as ad hoc opportunities. To share your interest in working with the PSA or to explore opportunities, please contact cfspsa@gmail.com.

Classroom Opportunities

While current parents may get information on classroom volunteer needs from their children's teachers, there are also ways for alumni and alumni parents to get involved. Whether it's an Interest or Discovery Group in Lower School or Live Read in the Middle School, there are many ongoing ways to be part of a classroom experience. Community members are welcome to priopose a talent, interest, or area of expertise that might . In Lower to Upper School, please contact the administrative assistants to share your ideas. Afghan Sister School Partnership

Through the sustained and dedicated work of parent volunteers, staff members, and students, the Afghan Sister School Partnership (ASSP) has engaged with the Topchi Village School in Bamiyan, Afghanistan for over 15 years. Crafted as a peaceful response to 9/11 and all that followed in the region, the partnership nurtures educational opportunities and cultural exchanges between our two school communities and supports the educational and material needs of our sister school. Alumni Events

Our local alumni are welcome to take advantage of the volunteer opportunities listed above. There are also events that alumni groups organize and put on. We also periodically host gatherings for alumni in cities across the United States. For more information, please contact Rebecca Swartz.
