The new Director of Advancement will arrive with a powerful opportunity to make a profound, long-term impact on Carolina Friends School and its advancement operations and thereby play a key role in shaping a distinctive and inclusive educational community. The Director provides entrepreneurial leadership and strategic direction for development; communications; parent, grandparent, alumni, and alumni parent relations; and community partnerships and outreach. The Director is responsible for all of the School’s philanthropic initiatives, bringing people and resources together to help the CFS community realize its expansive aspirations. The Director is an exemplary advocate for the School, working passionately and collaboratively to convey to the broader community an understanding of CFS’ Quaker mission, values, and vision. The Director helps connect CFS community members with one another and with the School and the School with the wider world. The Director provides innovative leadership, reporting directly to the Head of School and serving as a staff resource for the Board of Trustees and its committees. Early January 2018 start date preferred (Negotiable).
