Lemur Center - tour the world famous Lemur Center at Duke University

Plant Succession - visit a research project examining changes in plant communities in response to nutrients and carbon dioxide

The FACE Project - travel to Duke Forest to look at a study on forest response to increases in carbon dioxide

Solar Technology - examine solar energy with hands-on demonstrations

Biofuels - participate in a discussion by the Piedmont Biofuels cooperative

Edible Wild Plants - walk through nearby meadows and woods identifying and sampling local flora

Environmental Clubs in Middle Schools - look at a video and photo documentary project by the Middle School club

DIY Solar Heating - look at a project to retrofit an older building with simple active solar heating technology
