At the end of the year, students and advisors spend time reflecting on the school year. Each student’s written reflections are included in his/her End of Year Report.

The Senior Retreat and All School Retreat include a silent time for reflection.

Upper School has a scheduled 25-minute weekly silent meeting. Some teachers use silence in the classroom for settling in.
Silence is incorporated into special occasions and significant world events.

Silence is used in the Meeting for Graduation and Martin Luther King Day. During times of national, school, or community trauma (September 11th, 2001, for example), student gather in silence.
