Students may submit anonymous concerns for discussion at weekly class meetings. A dispute may be described, with class members offering possible solutions. There is genuine group seeking for a way that will work for all concerned. Hearing problems aired by others also helps students to feel the safety of knowing they are not alone in their worries. |
Each year, staff choose a broad theme for study by the entire Lower School. Themes alternate yearly between a science and a social studies emphasis, however staff also seek themes that will lend themselves to integration throughout the curriculum and that appeal to the spectrum of ages we serve.

As students were learning the 60’s rock song “Little GTO”, they had the opportunity to see and ride in these classic cars, thanks to members of a local GTO collectors’ club who brought their cars to campus. The students’ enthusiasm carried over into a performance of the song at a spring music sharing.
