| Curriculum at its best addresses the "whole child", with attention to developmentally appropriate cognitive, creative, social, emotional, spiritual, and physical needs and opportunity. |

We address the needs of the whole child through a variety of activities drawing on multiple intelligences. Research on “the beaver” may include gathering and reading information, stating the main facts, and sharing what has been learned by creating a sculpture or model. |
Children in Lower School are offered many opportunities to experience what they are learning in a multisensory way. This group was able to read about white tail deer and write about what they had learned. They were then able to experience the life of the deer through a student choreographed dance. |
We have a long history of offering students dance and movement exploration as a regular part of the curriculum. All students benefit from learning to use their bodies expressively; and for many children, it is a place for them to shine. |
In Spanish class, children experience a second language through cultural activities, food experiences, music, and art. A weaving activity helps students link language and culture. |
